Music curator, DJ and storyteller. Creating inmersive journeys through Progressive House and related sounds since 2007.
Roy Flores del Toro, known artistically as Royscope, is a music curator and DJ based in Guadalajara, Mexico. His journey into electronic music began in 2007 and evolved through years of exploration, performance, and an endless passion for discovering meaningful music.
Over time, what started as a fascination with mixing became a deeper pursuit: understanding how music can tell stories, create memories, and connect people through shared emotions. This philosophy would eventually become the foundation of everything Royscope represents today.
At the heart of every Royscope session is a simple idea: music should feel like a journey.
Inspired by the progressive movement that shaped electronic music in the late 90s and early 2000s, his sets focus on emotional storytelling, harmonic flow, and long-form progression rather than quick impact or predictable drops.
Each session is carefully curated to create an immersive experience where melodies, atmospheres, and rhythm evolve naturally, allowing listeners to become part of the story rather than simply hear a collection of tracks.
Plus Progressive is Royscope’s ongoing musical journal.
Released regularly as a curated series of sessions, the project explores the many shades of Progressive House, Organic House, Melodic House, Indie Dance and related genres through a narrative approach to DJing.
Every mix is crafted with attention to musical coherence, harmonic compatibility, and emotional progression, transforming each episode into a unique listening experience that reflects a specific moment, mood, or chapter in time.
For Royscope, Plus Progressive is not about trends or algorithms — it is about discovering timeless music and sharing it with people who appreciate the art of the journey.
Throughout his career, Royscope has performed in clubs, festivals, private events, and destination venues across Mexico while continuously refining his musical identity.
Beyond live performances, he remains deeply involved in music discovery, curation, and the development of projects that celebrate electronic music as both culture and art.
Today, his focus remains the same as when he first started: finding exceptional music and creating meaningful experiences through sound.
